Shelving is up.
Wall letters hung. Monkey pole (my project) up. TV cable installed.

Mike's project....almost complete..."the hut".

Tree up.
Camera is hidden and working. To Do:
- Need replacement cushions for glider & footrest.
- Waiting on night stand to come in. Will go beside glider.
- Waiting for grassy spots to arrive to adhere around the nursery.
- Tack the sides of the thatch to the wall.
- Clean out the closet.
So some of you may be flipping out over "the hut" that is hanging above our babies head...and I was worried too. I was also worried that this was way over Mike's head. Ladies, you should have seen how his eyes lite up when he told me the idea. Like I said I was skeptical but he managed to calm my fears. My first fear was the fact that it was gonna hang over Landon's head. Its held up with 3 brackets that each hold up to 150lbs, it doesn't come close to weighing 30. My next fear was the fan hitting it or him being able to climb up it. The fan is no where near it and with the mattress lowered the whole way a 10 year old *might* be able to grab and hang on to it. My 3rd fear was the thatch....he used the fake stuff and it is fire proof retardant & allergen free. My last fear had to do with the fan again. We specifically put the fan in because we heard that it may reduce the risk of SIDS by the constant moving air. Plenty of air still gets through and it doesn't blow the thatch around. Thank goodness. So ya see....I couldn't say no....its called compromise. And this hut idea all cam about to hide the camera, the bamboo on the side even hides the wire. Wild imagination my husband has. :-)
The monkey pole was something I saw on hgtv - rate my space. It doesn't look like the inspiration pic but I think it turned out good. All of the bamboo is real.
Well, at least I can relax for now....oh wait I've been nesting like crazy. I've cleaned and organized the entire kitchen, clean and organized the pantry, spare bedroom, both bathroom closets. What's left, you ask? The sunroom and coat closet. :-) :::whew::: Better to do it now, while I still can.
The agenda for this week...OB appt Thursday...I start going every other week here. :::eyes widen::: I can't believe it I'll be almost 3/4 of the way through. And NKOTB concert Friday night.
