8 months and growing...

Well I'm late again on my 8 month post. Landon is a day over 9 months today. Crazy...time is not slowing down. Being pregnant for 10 months seemed like an eternity. Here we are 9 months and it feels like the 1st trimester of pregnancy is over. I swear I just gave birth to him and in 3 months he will be 1 year old.

Right after my last post Landon started STTN. Yes, sleeping through the night!! He slept almost 3 weeks in a row without waking up. I felt like a new person and most days still feel like a new, well rested person. He occasionally still wakes up sometimes with a messy diaper but most of the time I feed him to get him back to sleep as quickly as possible.

Landon continues to scoot all over the place. He's content sitting and scotching around. I've been also content that he hasn't been on the move because I can walk into the kitchen and do bottles or dishes and let him play in the middle of the living room floor. It's been nice. But I believe life as we know it is soon over. No, he's not crawling. Today he actually pulled up to standing, so Mike said. I'm thinking he'll be walkin around his first birthday, maybe sooner. Who knows.

He also got his first top tooth yesterday. We've known about it for a week or so. You can just see them through the gum but today I noticed white actually poking through the gum. He's been a little more fussy than usual so I'm hoping after the left side comes in he'll be his normal happy self.

I also heard him saying "da da. da da. da da." But I think he was just jabbing. We'll see. How do you know when they actually mean Da da?

The other new thing he started doing is waving. But he waves to himself, its great! We'll keep working on it.

I think thats about it with Landon...as for me I was just rear ended this past Wednesday. The 2nd time in 2 1/2 years. I told the estimator to make sure not to order the big ass target thats on the back of my RAV. $2200 in damage and whiplash. Lovely. Thank goodness Landon was not in the car with me. I was on my way to get him, not how I wanted to spend my Wednesday evening.

Other than that we as busy as ever. Here are a few pics as always.

7 months

Geez...where to start? As always things are chaotic around the Treichler household. I would love for things to just S-L-O-W down! And Landon defintely needs to slow down on growing up. He has two bottom teeth now. He hardly ever shows them off though.

He's eatting 2-3 solid meals a day now which has totally changed his BM consistency. NO one ever warned me about this!!! I'll take breast milk BM any day compared to these stinky things. Usually I can handle things fairly well but these make me wanna :::gag:::

Sometime this past month, not quite sure when we got Landon sleeping in his crib all night without the use of the swing (usually). I thought for sure he would be in his swing till he was 16! However, we are still working on STTN. Its hit or miss, but it seems like we are getting somewhere finally. I tried reading "Heatlhy Sleep Habits, Happy Baby" but it made me more insane and more narotic with schedules. Don't get me wrong it has great advice but it is a confusing book.

Landon continues to be a VERY happy baby who is content playing on the floor for hours on end...ok not hours but you get the idea...all by himself. There is no interest in crawling or standing that I can tell. And ya know what? I'm ok with that. I like being able to walk into the kitchen and wash a few dishes without worrying what he's getting into.

His first Christmas was great! He loved stuffing the paper into his mouth and grabbing at boxes. Just the other day I caught him on the floor with his new toys and he was wrestling with a pillow. HaHa...We also went to see Santa and Landon just looked at him like "Who are you?" It was cute! I was surprised he didn't grab his beard and pull.

One more thing I have to include before I go. I follow a few blogs and came across this on Liz's blog...its beautifully written.

"My ineffable love for my son now crashes down on me every day, in waves and with a force I never believed possible. My heart actually aches with love and my breath is caught in my throat when I look into his eyes, see his smile, hear his giggle."

I have to admit there are days that I'm holding Landon or see him doing something new and that wave hits me and tears well up in my eyes. I never knew I could love so much and that it could overwhelm you so much. It amazes me! He amazes me.

Another quote I love is " 'Where did I come from?' the baby asked its mother. She answered half crying, half-laughing, and clasping her baby to her breast: 'You were hidden in my heart as its desire, my darling. You were in the dolls of all childhood games. In all my hopes and my loves, in my life, in the life of my mother, and in her mother before her, you have lived.' "

I always knew I wanted children. ALWAYS! Anyone who grew up with me could tell you that, as often as I played house with my cabbage patch dolls. So I guess thats why that quote touches my heart as much as it does. :::fights back the tears:::

Ok so I know I said that was the last but I can't leave without pictures...
