What is Baby T up to?
"From now on, baby's growth is mostly in the plumping up department -- though he won't get much longer, he'll put on a pound or more of baby fat before birth. (He's about 15 percent right now and will be about 30 percent by full-term.) His hearing is totally developed (tip: baby responds best to higher pitches), and if he really is a "he," his testes have probably completed their descent."
From Planning Family..."Your baby continues to grow and develop inside of you, now measuring about 18 inches long, and weighing about 6lbs!
If you have been noticing that you need more bathroom breaks than usual, it may be due to the fact that your baby has "dropped". As your due date grows near, your little one will settle deeper in your pelvis. This reduces pressure on your rib cage, allowing you more room to expand your diaphragm, but now there may be more pressure on your bladder.
By week 35, your baby's kidneys are completely developed. His liver is also beginning to produce waste. In fact, a majority of his growth is already done. However, you should expect him to put on some more weight over the next few weeks. As space is at a premium, you may not feel as much tossing and turning inside of you, but you will definitely feel some healthy punches and kicks."
My work shower was absolutely fantastic!! I had a great time and work with many generous co-workers who are so excited for Landon to arrive. Here are some pics
Mike and I made a trip to BRU this week to pick up some other items, that we did not get like another boppy cover, a car seat base, activity gym thingy, nursing pads, sheet saver, more burp cloths, etc....We have some other things to get yet but I know my mom is excited to take me shopping too so hopefully she will get my diaper bag and a bottle insulator tote bag and some other little things.
We have recently been given an offer we can't refuse....my mom is gonna watch Landon. I'm so glad. So we have some baby things to buy her as well. We've had some difficulty interviewing babysitters and finding ones that we liked so I'm so grateful that my mom will be watching him.
Does anyone feel like their DH isn't prepared for the arrival of a newborn? I realize that all babies are different. Some easy...some much more difficult. I am anticipating the worse I guess cuz thats what you always hear about. Mike on the other hand seems to be prepared for a very easy baby. :::sigh::: He thinks I'm going to be able to make dinner for him while I'm off, work out in the garden, clean the house, and finish reading the Twilight series, all while BFing, changing diapers, calming a newborn, etc I'm a little worried to say the least. Well I guess he'll learn....
Anyway...I should go pack my hospital bag....its kinda hard cuz I hardly fit into my undies because my hips have spread so much so I can't pack those and toiletries...forget it, I always take the bottle stuff comes in. Oh well....
