Opps....

Your fetus has become amazingly mobile (at least compared to you), passing the hours yawning, hiccuping, rolling, twisting, kicking, punching, sucking and swallowing. And, baby's finally big enough that you'll be able to feel those movements soon.

So...I got a little behind as you all can see. January 4th we ordered our furniture which was a fiasco at our BRU. :::rolling my eyes::: It still irritates me to think about it. Anyway...I won't bore ya all with that. But will say that they were having a fantastic sale....If you bought 3 or more LARGE pieces you got 15% off, plus if you opened a credit card you got an additional 10% off. I think we saved $400. Anyways after all the chaos I got home that night and was pretty ticked sitting at the computer and all of a sudden (((((WHACK))))) I felt my first BIG kick! It caught me totally off guard. But ever since then I've been feeling a lot of movement at night. Which I love!!! :-)

Vernix caseosa, a greasy white substance made of lanugo, oil and dead skin cells (yum) now coats baby's skin, shielding it from the amniotic fluid. (Picture yourself after a nine-month bath, and the need for protection makes sense.) You might actually get to see the vernix at birth, especially if baby is premature.

Uh...what lovely information to know this week. ;-) Oh well. Baby furniture has arrived. WTH happened to 6 weeks?? I dunno. Well I have my BIG u/s this week, Thursday a 8 AM and I'm nervous and anxious as all could be. Its kinda sad cuz I'm not all that excited....in fact I'm terrified that they are going to tell me that something is wrong or that I haven't taken good care of myself. I'm just terrified that I've gotten this far and our hopes and dreams are going to be ripped away.

However, my fear hasn't stopped me from planning our nursery. I'm still dead set on this bedding.

So here is my idea....I use to be a HUGE beanie bear collector. I have 4 large bins downstairs with them all in. Its ridiculous. So I'm not planning on using them but rather the larger size ones called beanie buddies to decorate the nursery. I found these so far...unfortunately I don't have any...except one.

I think they are adorable!!! I can't wait!!!
